Things are bad. Very bad. Count how many people you know who have lost their jobs, having trouble paying bills or making mortgage payments, or the repo man picking up their vehicle?

I mean with my stable income, I cant afford my mortgage, put gas in my car, bills, etc tec. This is being conservative with money too. I purchased a 1999 Toyota that gets amazing MPG, (with a toyota I dont have to worry about always fixing it)

I also have 50 percent of my powered by solar elecrcity. Did I tell you even I got my gas disconnected? Yes Direct Energy's Fault. it was only 280 dollars, just 1.5 months of total usage. What makes me laugh the most is so many people turn for me for real estate help, looking at my wealth, my firm, then I realize even I too facing utility disconnections. I mean many successful and weathly people in Calgary and where ever the crisis is still are having really tough time making ends meet.

I give you an example, My daughter wanted to buy a house durring the "boom" she went a head and did that. Payment are 2400 a month, last month she got laid off from Rogers in Calgary, now shes living under a lot of pressure. I mean no father wants to see their own daughter or son go through such a nightmare. Yes you can say the Bergstein Family in Calgary is also having a hard time. I mean I do not even fill my tank always up, the tank is only 60 litres, about 15 galons. I mean if things are hard for a man like me who has stable income, I can not imagine the people in Calgary with young kids, etc etc.

I am not a "cheap" person. But the reality is I can not afford a lot of things. I dont know whats going to happen with the Calgary Market Crisis. I mean I do not want another 1982, Do you remember those suicides?

So I put a list of useful information to survive the Calgary Market Crisis.

Food. Shop around. Wal-Mart can save you a bundle or even superstore.

If you want even cheaper, try Last Chance, Barlow and Memorial Drive S.E. they have Costco products, food and items and discounted prices. I got a fresh carrott cake from there for $2.49

Gas.
Check CalgaryPrices.com for current gas prices.

My favorite places are Gas Plus on 1st se and about 11th avenue, You will NEED a credit card, or a debit card. You must have minium authorization amount of about 270 dollars for the pumps to turn on.

Trio, Hubalta Road, near Forest Lawn- 10 cents cheaper then average current gas price. Nice family who own the business.

Cars, well pick up a used Toyota/Lexus. beleive it or not a 1000 dollar Toyota can perform for years without spending a dime on repairs. Just oil changes and maybe brakes you will need done.

Sell your lialbities you think are assets, yes that new caravan, that LCD TV, even that HD box.

Princess Auto, has a lot of quality items for less. Handy man, car/garage, even surplus items. Home hardware items too.

We pray that this Calgary Market Crisis will one day leave us.
